After the success of Swan Lake and Midsummer Night’s Dream, theater audiences and dance enthusiasts are in for another whimsical and magical treat as Ballet Philippines showcases Cinderella from 6 to 15 December as part of the celebration of its 50th anniversary.
This revival of Cinderella, which was first choreographed in 1981 by none other than National Artist for Dance Alice Reyes, is in collaboration with three national artists, namely, Alice for choreography and direction, National Artist for Music Francisco Feliciano for musical arrangement and the late National Artist for Theater and Design Salvador Bernal for set and costume design — powerhouse artists that make the show extravagantly perfect for the holidays.
With National Artists behind the show comes also an impeccable cast. Dance groundbreaker Liza de la Fuente and former Ballet Philippines member Novy Bereber will play the infamous Widow Brunhilda.
